My 6" Delta planer has had one of these dust hoods mounted on it for over 20 years.As you can see in the Customer Image, Woodstock hasn't changed the design -- there's no need to, as it works as intended.
This hood is 10.25" wide x 8.5" high, with a 4" male hose attachment.You'll need to securely attach it over the dust port on you jointer, so it doesn't leak.The best method I know of is to use machine screws, and thin foam-rubber weather stripping between the hood and the tool.If you secure the 4" hose so it won't move at the tool end, you'll have zero maintenance at that location.
